Just Do It!

Thank you for joining us in our quest for wisdom globally. Today’s proverb comes to us from Chile.

Fabiana | Chile

Hello, my name is Fabiana, and I’m from Chile. My favorite proverb from my country is:

The shrimp that falls asleep gets carried away by the current.

What Does it Mean?

It means that you have to take advantage of opportunities.

Why Do I Like It?

I like this proverb, because my Dad always says it to me.

How Does It Relate to My Life?

It applies to my life now, in this program (EIP English Immersion Program at Missouri State). This is a great opportunity for me. I want to take full advantage of opportunities.
