Nicolas | Santiago, Chile

Hello, my name is Nicolas, and I’m from Chile. My favorite proverb from my country is:

A bad rumor is better than bad news.

What Does it Mean?

It means a rumor is always better than bad news, because the rumor is almost never true and it’s always from people who want to hurt you. However, bad news can be very bad and hurt you.

Why Do I Like It?

I like it because it’s always true. Rumors are always from negative and ill-intentioned people.

How Does It Relate to My Life?

Many times in my life I have heard about me, but it has always been from negative people. So, it’s people I don’t want in my life, and I don’t care what they say. Bad news will always affect me more in my life and in the lives of the people I love.

That’s why I like rumors.
